DECEMBER 15, 2018

EDIT!  Due to popular demand, we are starting this run early!  Saturday, December 16th, 2017 will be the FIRST Loup Garou Trail Run.  We hope to see all of you there!

Well, it is official! The inaugural Loup Garou Trail Run is set for Saturday, December 15th, 2018, on our home trail of Chicot State Park.  ( To read the legend of the Loup Garou, click here.) This is located in Ville Platte, Louisiana, and it is my FAVORITE trail to train on, and one of the most "Louisiana" trails you can get.  It offers long bridges through cypress swamps, piney woods, just enough hills to keep it interesting, and is run mostly on single track trails.

One of the many sights you will see along the trail.

This is a 20 mile loop around Lake Chicot, with beautiful views all along the way.  It is our stomping ground, and we love this trail.  Depending on the weather and your training, Chicot can be both a beauty and a beast, but if you are looking to experience Louisiana with Cajun hospitality at every aid station - this is the race for you! The same crew that brought you Red Dirt will be out there for Loup Garou taking care of your every need and administering tough love as required.

We are offering 20, 40, 60, and 100 mile options. (1,2,3 or 5 loops - because math).

I really could not be more excited to invite all of you to fall in love with Chicot State Park as we have.  Hope to see all of you in 2018!
